    Q
How many ounces of Gordons Trimec Classic Broadleaf Herbicide do I mix per gallon?
    A

The amount of finished gallons of Gordons Trimec Classic Broadleaf Herbicide will vary depending on the dilution for what you are targeting. Please refer to the product label for complete mixing and application instructions. The rate for application ranges from

0.75 - 1.5 oz. per 0.5 to 6 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft.

    Steps in Calibration:

    1. Mark an area of 1,000 square feet (i.e. 20 by 50 feet, or 25 by 40 feet).

    2. Place the sprayer on a level surface and add water noting the final level of water in the

    spray tank.

    3. Spray the marked area with a sufficient volume of water to provide uniform coverage.

Refill the sprayer to the same level as before measuring the amount of water added. The

measured water added to the sprayer is the volume needed to cover 1,000 square feet.

    4. Determine the application rate (fl oz/1000 sq ft) for the product from the “Approved Uses” section of this label.

    5. To each volume of water used, as measured in step 3, add the amount of product

    determined in step 4.

    Example:

If the sprayer used 2 gallons of water to cover 1,000 square feet and the desired

application rate of product is 3 fluid oz/1,000 square feet, then you would add 3 fluid

ounces to every 2 gallons of water to be used.

    Q
    Will Trimec Classic kill spurge?

  • Asked by M. from Bluffton, Sc
    02/05/2019
    Q
Can Trimec Classic be mixed with Tenacity Herbicide?
    A

Yes, Gordons Trimec Classic Broadleaf Herbicide  and Tenacity Herbicide can be mixed.  It is always recommended to do a small tank mixture to ensure there is no clumping between the two products, and that you always follow the more restrictive label when using multiple products at the same time. Keep in mind, also, that unless you are overseeding, a blanket application of Tenacity Herbicide (used as either a pre-emergent or a post-emergent) may cause undesirable whitening of the turfgrass, per the product label.

  • Asked by Steve from River Falls, Wi
    09/27/2019
    Q
Can I mix and apply Gordons Trimec Classic Broadleaf Herbicide with a liquid fertilizer?
    A

Gordons Trimec Classic Broadleaf Herbicide should be fine to tank mix with a liquid fertilizer as long as both products are applied as directed on the labels for rates.

However, when preparing a new tank mix conduct an appropriate compatibility test by mixing proportional amounts of all spray ingredients in a test vessel (jar) prior to tank mixing with other products. Shake mixture vigorously and allow it to stand for five to ten minutes. Rapid precipitations of the ingredients and failure to re-suspend when shaken indicates that the mixture is incompatible and shoudl not be applied.

If you preform a compatibility test and have no issues then you can mix a liquid fertilizer with it.
