Will termidor be effective poured into the stone even if I dig a trench in the stone?
In order for Termidor SC to provide you the 10 year barrier treatment, it needs to bond to the soil. You will need to pour the mixed solution of Termidor SC directly into the soil trench. We would recommend removing the stone and tile if you can to access the soil underneath or if you are not able remove the stone and tile, remove the stone and drill holes directly through the tile. When drilling holes for termite treatment, you come 2-3 inches off the foundation wall and drill 18-24inches deep every 10-12 inches along the wall. Pour the same 4 gallons of mixed solution in the holes (averages to be 1/2 gal/per hole) Then plug holes with Trebor Plugs. This ensures you are reaching that soil under the tile for a periemter treatment. Please look at our "How to do a Termite Barrier Treatment" Article for tips, specifically paragraph 4 where it refrences drilling for treatment.
