I have a tall fescue lawn. Need to stop poa annua and crabgrass

I read the poa annua is best stopped if sprayed twice in the fall. The table says to use no more than .36 of an ounce per 1,000sq.ft. per year. So if I do 2 apps in the Fall, and one app in the spring for crabgrass, is each application 1/3 of that .36 ounce? (.12 per 1,000sq.ft.)??

Answer:

Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) is not the best recommendation in the fall. It would be best to do 2 applications of it in the spring for crabgrass & other spring weeds at the rate of 1oz per 1k square feet. And in the fall you may do application of Ike's Sandbur and Crabgrass Preventer for the poa
