I have used as directed, and spread around the perimeter of the house, and applied heavier in areas where I see them leaving and entering the home. I have also treated indoor areas. I noticed a marked decrease in activity around the house entrance points, and then the ants are busy disposing of the bait. Inside the activity has increased. How long before I should notice a difference and is there something else I should or could use?
The amount of time that it takes to see results when you are baiting is completely dependant on a few factors, the most important of them being the size of the colony. The bigger the colony, the more ants there are in it, and the longer it will take for the bait to be fed to all of the ants. Depending on the colony size, it can take a few days to a few weeks. As long as they are taking the bait, it will work. You should continue to reapply the bait as long as they are depleting it. Seeing an increase inside is not uncommon and usually you will see a huge decrease after you see an increase. The key is to keep the bait readily available for them where you see the activity.
