Deborah from Missouri writes

I have a zoysia lawn in Missouri and I would like to kill the clover. Is this safe for zoysia?

I also have chickens that may have access to this area. How long should I keep them off of it after treatment?

Answer:

No, Southern Ag Lawn Weed Killer with Trimec is not labeled for zoysia grass.

We would recommend using Bayer Advance All-In-One Lawn Weed and Crabgrass Killer. This is labeled to be used on zoysia grass for clover. You will use 3.2 fl. oz. per gallon of water. That will treat 500 sq. ft. Once the product has dried, your animals can return back to the area.
