Is this safe for use on St Augustine grass in 90+ degree heat of north Florida?
    A

Helena 19-1-6  is safe for use on St. Augustine grass, however, we would not recommend applying products in temperatures above 80 degrees Fahrenheit. It is recommended that you apply in the early morning or late evening when the temperatures are not as high.

    Q
Would Helena 19-1-6 be a good option to tank mix with turf growth regulator?
    A

Helena 19-1-6 liquid fertilizer is usually used for a quick supply of nutrients to turf that may need immediate care or is intending to see a lot of wear, such as on golf courses. This product can usually be mixed with other slow-release products such as a CoRon fertilizer. Growth Regulators are generally used to slow turf growth, so we are not sure exactly how these may interact. If you would like to tell us more about where you are treating and the type of turfgrass, then we can check with our Helena representative for more detailed recommendations about how to use this product with TGR and/or other fertilizers for your needs.

    Q
The Helena 19-1-6 says it is "supplemental" - what else would you use in a full program?
We have Kentucky Blue Grass in Wisconsin, 1.5 acres of lawn. We utilize a tow behind tank sprayer.
    A

The Helena 19-1-6 is a quick-acting product that was designed to maintain growing vigor on turfgrass. Since this product does not contain slow-release nutrients, it does not provide season-lawn nutrients. This product was discontinued by the manufacturer, but you can browse our other Liquid Fertilizers here. We also recommend a soil test if you have not had one recently so that you can better understand what nutrients your lawn may need.
