Pets can usually return to the areas that are treated with Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer about 2 hours after the application. You want to make sure that the entire treated area is completely dry before allowing re-entry by any animals.
Hi-Yield 2,4-D is mainly labeled for broadleaf weeds and will not treat crabgrass. It would be best to know what kind of desirable turf grass you have in the area that needs to be treated, as many of the herbicides that are labeled for crabgrass may also damage several types of turf grass that are common in your area.
