Depending on how healthy and ready the lawn is to absorb those nutrients or if the lawn is stressed, you can see results within 7-14 days usually after applying Hi-Yield Ammonium Sulfate 21-0-0. It is recommended to apply throughout the growing season which is 3-4 application typically.
Hi-Yield Ammonium Sulfate 21-0-0 is activated by water, but it is not labeled to be mixed with water and then sprayed. You may contact the manufacturer for further information:

For Hi-Yield Ammonium Sulfate 21-0-0 the application would be 1 1/2 cups equal to 3/4 lb. You would apply this over 100 sqft area not per plant as directed on the product label.
Once you're done making an application of Hi-Yield Ammonium Sulfate 21-0-0, watered it in and allowed the treated area to completely dry, it's safe for your pets to roam around again.
Unfortunately, we do not have the spreader settings for most specific spreaders and the manufacturer does not list that spreader on their bag. Due to the thousands of granules on the market and just as many different types of spreaders, you will want to calibrate your spreader to the product you are using and its application rates.
