    Q
Do the Hi-Yield Herbicide Granules need to be watered in following the application?
    A

Yes, Hi-Yield Herbicide Granules need to be watered in following the application with ¼ to ½ inch of rainfall or irrigation in order to for the active ingredient to dissolve into the soil and prevent weeds from germinating. This product does not control existing weeds.

    Q
Will this harm the ground covers in beds?
Hello, I would like to ask if this can be used in beds (or on hills) that have mixed ground covers such as Vinca minor, English Ivy, or Euonymus. Tons of weeds & grass come up in these areas also. We normally use snapshot in these areas, but this does not seem to be working as well as it has in the past... so I am hand-weeding constantly! Looking for another option! Thank you for your assistance!
    A

The Hi-Yield Herbicide Granules are labeled for pre-emergent use around many established ornamental plant species like those you mentioned. There are some weeds and grasses out there that are not impacted by pre emergents, and the ingredient in the Hi Yield granules is one of the same ingredients that is found in Snapshot. We'd recommend trying to get the weeds you have the biggest trouble with ID'd so we can better determine what chemicals are needed to be effective for you, or if post-emergent treatments and hand pulling are the only options for what you have.
