    Does Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide kill the fish and other aquatic animals?
    A

    The Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide is safe around aquatic life when applied as directed on the product label.  The product label states, "When emerged infestations require treatment of the total surface area of impounded water, treating the area in strips may avoid oxygen depletion due to decaying vegetation. Oxygen depletion may result in fish kill."

    I have a little less than one acre, how much of the Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide do I mix per gallon of water?
    A

    The mix rate needed for Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide depend on the type of weeds you are trying to control.  You can use anywhere from 1 oz per gallon up to 10 1/4 oz per gallon of water.  According to the Product Label many applications are recommended at the 2oz per gallon rate, however if you are not able to get complete coverage then you can up the dose to 6 2/3 oz per gallon or for trees and shrubs you can use up to 10 1/4 oz per gallon of water.

    Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide is labeled for control of waterprimrose. Be sure to add a non-ionic surfactant such as this one.

    Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide label, this product does not control plants which are completely submerged or have a majority of foliage under water.

    Will Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide kill water lilies and iris on the bottom of the pond?
    Does it have to be sprayed? We have no leaves so we need a product that we can add to water.

    Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide does not control weeds that are submerged or the majority of any foliage under water. We do offer other aquatic herbicides that can be applied for submersed weeds. AquaStar is labeled for treatment of mature water lily and others.

    Will Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide kill koi fish?

    While Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide is labeled for use around aquatic areas, we cannot tell you for certain that it is safe to use in or around koi ponds. We recommend contacting a local Koi expert for recommendations or consulting with the County Cooperative Extension Office or recommendations.

    If Killzall Aquatic is sprayed in 1 acre pond can I siphon water for vegetable garden?
    I have a 1 acre pond. 8' deep with cat fish and bass. There are 3 other families that share it. One neighbor siphons water to his vegetables and yard. He is afraid of poisoning his family and doesn't want us to use this There is some of this weed on his shoreline which we can't touch anyway. Will it be safe spraying our side that will be approximately 30' from his hoses.

    Per the Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide Label,  there is no restriction on the use of treated water for irrigation, recreation, or domestic purposes.

    What does the wording "3/4% Solution" refer to for Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide?
    A

    The 3/4% is the percentage level of the active ingredient when Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide is mixed with water. In reference to the Chart on page 9 of the product label, the lowest percentatge of active ingredient when mixed with water is 3/4% and goes up to 8% of the active ingredient. The percentage of active ingredient recommended is based off what weeds you are targeting (annual, broadleaf, grassy, woody brush, vines, etc).

    Does Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide harm frogs or salamanders?
    A

    A frog or salamander should not have any harm come to them from an herbicide application including Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide if they are not sprayed directly or in the area before application has dried completely.

    For annual and perennial weeds, Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide is recommended to be applied at the 5% solution rate (6 2/3 fl oz per gallon of water) and a 5% to 8% solution rate (6 2/3 fl oz to 10 ¼ fl oz) for woody brush and trees.

    Is Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide effective on water lilies and will a second application be needed?

    Hi-Yield Killzall Aquatic Herbicide is not labeled to kill or control waterlily therefore cannot be recommended. Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer is labeled for water lily.
