The best time to use a spreader sticker would be whenever the product you are using requires it, such as certain post-emergent herbicides, or insecticide or fungicide applications on very waxy plants.

Per the label, when used with a fungicide, do not mix more than 0.5 tsp per 1 gallon of mixed solution. We don't recommend to spray in the middle of the day, heat of the day, to avoid burning your crops/plants.

There would be no reason to ever use Hi Yield Spreader Sticker surfactant with an insecticide indoors and should only be applied with outdoor applications.
