    How much do I use per gallon?
    Hi, I was wondering how much do I use per gallon in a hand sprayer? I'm not very good in math so oz per acre is foreign to me. Thanks!

    If you will be applying a foliage spray during warm weather when weeds are actively growing, use 1 Tbsp. of Hi-Yield Turflon Ester per 1 gal. of water to treat 1,000 Sq. Ft. For specific application instructions, please refer to the product label.

    How long does it take for the Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester to work? When should I respray if weeds are still in evidence?
    A

    It can take about two weeks for Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester to start to show burn down. You may need to make a 2nd application after four weeks.

    Should the grass be dry or does it matter when applying Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester?
    A

    Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester is best applied to dry areas.  Slightly damp is ok but you do not want to apply when grass/weeds are soaked.

    Will Hi-Yield Turflon Ester Ultra control wild violets? What is the proper timing to apply?
    I understand that the fall is the best time to spray for this plant.

    Hi-Yield Turflon Ester Ultra is labeled to eradicate wild violets. Please refer to the product label for complete mixing and application instructions. You will mix 3/8 - 3/4 oz. per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. You can apply this product early spring through fall for the most effective results.

    How soon after mowing can I apply Triclopyr Easter?
    A

    Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester should be applied 2-3 days after mowing and you should not mow again for an additional 2-3 days after application.

    Can I mix Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester in a gallon sprayer and leave it in there for any length of time to use as needed?
    Or do I have to mix a new batch for each use?

    Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester should be mixed when you are ready to use the product. You should not store mixed product longer than 24 hrs.

    Is Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester Ultra harmful to dogs?

    Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester Ultra is pet safe if used as directed.  Pets and people should be kept out of the area while the product is being applied.  Once the treated area has fully dried, it is safe for everyone to return.

    Could a surfactant be added to Hi-Yield Turflon Ester Ultra if applied to wild violets? If so, what ratio or amount?'
    A

    Yes, a non-ionic surfactant can be added to Hi-Yield Turflon Ester Ultra when being applied to wild violets. The mixing ratio for the surfactant is 1-2 teaspoons per gallon of water. However, if you are treating in your lawn, do not use a surfactant as you could burn your lawn.

    Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester is labeled for ground ivy, also known as Creeping Charlie. You would use 3/8 - 3/4 oz. per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft.

    Will Hi Yield Turflon Ester kill the Bermuda grass and not harm the Fescue?
    I have a lawn that is 50/50 Bermuda and Fescue. I want the Bermuda dead!! and When is the ideal time to apply it?

    Per the Hi Yield Turflon Ester Product Label: Apply HI-YIELD® Turflon® Ester Ultra at a rate of 1 quart per acre. Three to four additional applications at 4 week intervals will be required to give adequate suppression of Bermudag- rass and allow Fescue or other desired turfgrass species to dominate. To improve suppres- sion and control of Bermudagrass, To improve suppression and control of Bermudagrass, tank mix 1 quart of HI-YIELD® Turflon® Ester Ultra per acre with a postemergence grass herbicide registered for this use pattern. Three to four additional applications of this tank mix at 4 week intervals should be made to achieve control. Reseeding following application will accelerate the transition to Cool Season turf.

    This product only control weeds that have already emerged and that are actively growing. If your yard has started going dormant at all and your temps are not above 65 degrees at least 5 days in a row at this point in the year, then you need ot wait until next year to apply the product as you will only see spotty results now.

    As long as K31 is not under drought stress, can this product be sprayes at temps of 90-95?

    Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester Ultra is best applied in temperatures below 90 to prevent burning of the turfgrass and better effectiveness against the targeted weeds.

    Does mixing liquid soap help Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester Ultra adhere to weeds?

    Dish soap could interfere with the chemical process and prevent herbicides from doing their job. Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester Ultra is applied at 3/8 - 3/4 oz. (2.25-4.5 teaspoons) per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. (8 - 16 oz. per acre). See label for complete application instructions. It is recommended to add a non-ionic surfactant for best results but is not required per label instructions.

    Will Hi-Yield Turflon Ester Ultra harm tall fescue?
    Will this product kill the Bermuda grass that is starting to take over? My average lots are 100 x 75 I want this grass dead how much do I apply?? Will it harm the K31 grass?

    Hi-Yield Turflon Ester Ultra can be used on tall Fescue to control Bermuda grass. Per the product label, the application rate is 3/4 fl. oz. of product per gallon of water. You will likely have to do multiple applications to gain full control of the Bermuda grass. Applications can be done every 3-4 weeks.

    Pets should remain out of the treated area until the surfaces are completely dry. They should NOT be present during the application of Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester Ultra.

    Will Turflon Ester Ultra kill a nearby pin oak tree that has shallow roots?
    I have a lawn that is mainly backfill red clay and rock with only about 4 inches or so of top soil. Therefore, the pin oak tree has very shallow roots. How close to this tree (about 12 years old) can I spray Turflon Ester Ultra?

    Hi-Yield Turflon Ester Ultra could affect nearby desirable plants if it were to contact them or the root system. We would not recommend applying this product at or near the dripline of any desirable plants.
