How can I use BioAdvanced on my four cabbages that have not yet grown a head?

Last year, after using diatomaceous earth several times, my cabbage heads were still infested with worms! This year, prior to them heading, I want to use something that will definitely kill anything that comes on them. Should I just apply the proper mixing around the base of the cabbage, and will this continue being effective through the root system throughout the growing season

Answer:

As stated on the product label of Bio Advanced Fruit, Citrus and Vegetable Insect Control, "Do not harvest fruit until at least 21 days after application. Do not make more than one application per year."

The product label also states, "To prevent insect infestation, apply at transplant or shortly after plants emerge from seed. 1. Measure the area of the vegetable row to be treated. Note: a row that is 1 ft. X 10 ft. is 10 square feet. 2. Add 0.5 ounce of product per 10 square feet of vegetable row to be treated to 1 quart of water. 3. Evenly apply the prepared mixture (0.5 oz. product plus 1 qt. water) to the base of all plants within the 10 sq. ft. of area and not just to the base of one plant in the treatment area." Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions before use.
