To install the Advance Termite Bait Station, you can use a shovel, post hole digger, or auger to dig a hole 9 inches deep. By extending the hole 3 inches deeper than the station, you allow an area for water and rain that drains through the soil and the station a place to go without puddling inside the station. If water puddles or stays inside the station, the wood monitoring base can become moldy and reduce its attractiveness to termites.
