How do I apply Diquat Water Weed and Landscape Herbicide for Coontail?

Would like advice on Diquat and Coontail in Farm Pond. Fairly heavy infestation. About a acre at 4ft depth. Surfactant needed? Amount per gallon of Diquat? Application method? Using ATV 15 gallon sprayer with wand. Also is it hard on grasses in area near spraying? Some wind drift.

Answer:

Diquat Water Weed and Landscape Herbicide should be used with a surfactant, such as the Non-Ionic Surfactant. The ratio for that product is 1-2 teaspoons per gallon of water. The Diquat can be used as as a broadcast application or a spot spray. It is labeled for various broadleaf weed and could potentially kill them if the product drifts.
