How do I safely prevent outdoor fruit flies from infesting my backyard blackberries?

I have many blackberrie plants in my backyard and the fruit flies lay eggs in the berries and create maggots in the fruit. I want spray them with something to keep out the fruit flies without making the berries unsafe to eat.

Answer:

We recommend Fertilome Triple Action Plus II with 70% Neem Oil to be used for fruit fly control on black berries.  Fertilome Triple Action plus can be applied to fruits and vegetables all the way up to day of harvest without causing any harm to the plant or you
