How do I treat my cedar tree for cedar apple rust fungus?

I noticed the "poids" on my cedar tree, which is about 100 yards from my apple trees. You recommend either Captan 50W or Bonide Fruit Tree spray for treating the apple trees, but what about the cedar? Do I just try and pick them off? And what keeps them from coming back?

Answer:

Fungicides are not recommended to be used on your cedar tree, you can simply prune off the galls on the tree.
