How do I treat my house for ticks using Diatomaceous Earth?

Can I sprinkle it on carpet/ upholstery alike and just vacuum?

Answer:

Organic Diatomaceous Earth can be used for ticks indoors only as a crack and crevice treatment, applied with a hand duster. Diatomaceous Earth works very slowly on insects, so we would not recommend this be the sole treatment for ticks. Our Indoor Flea and Tick Kit would be a great choice for you since it also includes NyGuard Plus spray, which has both a quick knockdown and an Insect Growth Regulator to help control ticks longterm.
