How do turn the valve off to prevent the Little Giant King Size Auto Poultry Fountain from overflowing?

This is brand new and the valve won't shut off so it's overflowing the bowl.

Answer:

You can adjust the water level in the Little Giant King Size Auto Poultry Fount by disconnecting the post in the center of the bowl, then removing the control tube post. To increase the water level, twist the control nut towards the spring, the decrease the water level, twist the control nut away from the spring.
