How does IGR not affect mammals once it's dried?

Not if it is or isn't safe, but how. How is it safe for people to come into contact with it regularly once dry? How is it able to still be effective while dried for pests, but suddenly doesn't cause harm to us? Once it has dried would any contact with it directly cause issues? Haven't seen any info directly explaining how this works in terms of pests, us and pets. Curious how its suddenly rendered safe for us after while still able to kill pests. Thanks!

Answer:

Archer IGR is only toxic to humans if they misuse the product. It does not actually kill insects either; it stops the immature ones from reaching sexual maturity and helps break the reproduction cycle. It does have a residual, which means the actives are still working even when it is dry. You must realize pesticides only contain enough active to effect small insects.  You would have to try very hard to misuse the product to cause harm, and we are not sure how one might do it.   Please see the label and SDS sheets for info.
