For torpedograss, Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide is advised to be applied at the rate of 0.245 oz in 1 gallon of water per 1000 sq ft doing 3 sequential applications at 14-21 day intervals. Per the product label, the addition of a Methylated Seed Oil Surfactant is needed for best results at the rate of 2 tbsp per gallon of water or 1.5 pints of MSO per acre. The timing can vary when weeds will start to show signs of dying or when they will die off completey when applying a post emergent. This can vary due to the weather conditions, the type of weed it is, how established the weed is, the specific active ingredients and the rates applied. Generally we advise to allow 1 to 3 weeks to begin seeing results before any follow up applications.
