The residual in the soil of Alligare Diuron 80 DF will depend on where it is applied and what your goal is. Please refer to the product label for maximum rates per acre and retreatment information for your treatment purposes. 
 
For Replanting purposes, the product label states unless otherwise directed, do not replant treated areas to any crop within 2 years after last application as injury to subsequent crops may result. 
 
For Ground Applications: The degree of control and duration of effect will vary with the amount of chemical applied, soil texture, rainfall, and other conditions.
 
The product label does advise that if weed control is unsatisfactory, it may be necessary to retreat problem areas using a product with a different mode of action.
