For Elm Bark Beetles, Sevin SL Carbaryl Insecticide is recommended to be applied at 5 fl oz per gallon of water and to apply approximately 20-30 gallons of spray mixture for each 50 feet of elm tree for thorogh coverage of all bark surfaces on trunks, limbs and twigs. Per the product label, do not make more than 2 applications per year or repeat applications more often than once every 6 months.
