How many pre-emergent applications should be applied in the spring?

I have 5-landscaped acers. Now 75-years, for the first half of my life here I had energy to apply preemergent April May then July and when needed. Great control. Now I apply one application -- sometimes great control and sometimes not. For 1-application what product would you use?

Answer:

For landscaped areas Snapshot 2.5 TG - 50 lbs. is the most widely used.  How many applications you do depends on the rate you apply the product at for how long you want it to last.  You can generally apply at the highest rate once or do split applications at lower rates.  Please refer to the product label for complete instructions based on the plants you are using around.
