Cutrine Plus Algaecide is intended for larger bodies of water and applied at a rate of 0.6 - 1.2 gallons per acre foot of water treated. SeClear Algaecide would be an option for smaller residential or backyard ponds. The exact number of gallons of product you use will depend on how large of a surface area you're treating. To calculate the size of a pond based on gallons, you need to know the length, width, and depth, then use a volume calculation (length x width x depth). Please refer Cutrine Plus Algaecide product label and SeClear Algaecide product label to determine which product would better suit your needs.
