If you plan to treat for grubs with Milky Spore Lawn Spreader Mix, you should do so after you have put the new lawn down. If you apply it now and then dig up the soil later before reseeding the area, you will disturb some of the barrier and spores you have put down.  Or Milky Spore can go down at the same time as the grass seed and then watered in. You can wait 36 to 48 hours before watering in the Spore. Make sure you water the Spore before raking or mowing your lawn.
