Navigator SC makes it easy to kill and prevent ant infestations from returning to the area around your structure. The product contains the active ingredient fipronil, which can control carpenter ants, crazy ants, odorous house ants, pavement ants, pharaoh ants, and other ant species listed on the label.

Navigator is a non-repellent insecticide that is undetectable to insect pests like ants. Because of this characteristic, ants will crawl over Navigator-treated areas, picking up the insecticide on their bodies and introducing it into their entire colony. When the product has reached the ant colony, an exposed ant spreads the Navigator SC to other ants. This transfer effect means that you may start seeing dead ants within one to three days.

Before beginning your application, put on your personal protective equipment, or PPE, including long-sleeves, long pants, socks, closed-toe shoes, and chemical-resistant gloves. Check the label to ensure you are wearing the proper personal protective equipment.

To mix Navigator SC, fill a 1-gallon sprayer one-quarter to one-third of the way full of water.  Then, add 0.8 ounces of Navigator concentrate to the tank. Tighten the lid on the sprayer tank and shake vigorously to mix the solution.  Remove the sprayer lid and finish filling the sprayer with water to make 1 gallon of finished spray mixture. Replace the sprayer lid and shake again to finish mixing.

For perimeter control, apply Navigator SC outside around the foundation of your structure to help control ants inside and around your home or business. Spray a perimeter barrier around the building's foundation using a coarse spray. The best time to apply Navigator is on a calm day with no wind, and when rain is not forecasted for 48 hours before or after the treatment. Move steadily, walking backward around the perimeter of your instructions, and apply a continuous band that extends up the exterior wall 1 foot up and 1 foot out from where the ground meets the foundation. In California, the barrier spray can only be applied 6 inches up and 6 inches out from where the ground meets the foundation.

Except in the state of California, Navigator SC can be applied 4 times per calendar year using the 0.4 ounce rate, 2 times per year using the 0.8 ounce rate, or 2 times per year at the 0.4 ounce rate and 1 time at the 0.8 ounce rate.

In California, Navigator may be mixed at a 0.4oz dilution rate and applied at a maximum of once every 3 months.  This is the only application rate allowed for use in California. Apply Navigator SC around door frames, windows, openings around pipes and utility cable wires, any other holes or openings you may notice, and anywhere ants have been observed crawling on the structure. These areas should be treated with a coarse spray at low pressure up to 18 inches in width. Navigator SC should not be applied as a broadcast spray.

Keep all people, pets, or children out of the treatment area until the spray has dried. Always read the product label for detailed application instructions to get rid of ants from your property with Navigator SC.
