The time frame after using Hi-Yield Root Killer will vary depending on the severity of the blockage, how thick the roots are and how thorough the crystals are able to get to the blockage. If you have a complete stoppage, we would recommend waiting 3 days to flush to evaluate the water flow. If the line is still backed up, then do a 2nd application 7-10 days from the 1st application. You want to use 4 to 6 lbs and then repeat every 7 to 10 days until the blockage is gone. Some cases may require rodding BEFORE treating with Hi Yield Root Killer to assure some movement in line. This product may also be used through a distribution box direct to septic tank drainfield. If you have a distribution box, you would add the 4-6lbs with sufficient water by hose or bucket to carry the crystals to the point of roots penetration or blockage.
