    Q
What would be the Scott's Standard setting for applying Howard Johnsons Eagle 0.39% Specialty Fungicide?
    A

If your spreader model is not listed on the product label of Howard Johnsons Eagle 0.39% Specialty Fungicide, then you will need to calibrate your Scotts Standard Spreader to determine the correct settings for the application.

To determine your spreader setting, place enough material in the hopper to cover 1,000 square feet. Place your spreader setting on a low setting (usually one-fourth of the spreader setting range or less). Spread the material over a 50 x 20-foot area (1,000 square feet). If there is material left over, increase your setting. If you come up short, decrease your setting. While this is not a scientific method, it will put you in the ballpark.

Take a moment to view our How to Calibrate Your Spreader Video for a short demonstration on this process.

    Q
    Spreader settings not included!!!
There are no spreader settings that I can find. You guys should not be sending out a product without spreader settings. I have a Scotts rotary and would like a setting recommendation. Would not like to guess what to set it on to spread 4lb per 1k. thx
    A
Unfortunately, we do not have the spreader settings for that specific combo, and since the manufacturer does not list that spreader on their bag we are unsure what the exact setting would be. Due to the thousands of granules on the market and just as many different types of spreaders, there isn't a master list that exists. You may want to try calling the manufacturer of your spreader or the chemical itself directly, to see if anyone on their staff has that info.

Otherwise, you will want to calibrate your spreader to the product you are using and its application rates. You can see a short video on how to accomplish this below.

    Q
    Application When Overseeding Lawn
I don't see anything on the label about this, so checking if anyone has any information. I am going to overseed my lawn in August, and am concerned that the light, often watering necessary to keep the seeds wet until germination is going to encourage a fungal outbreak in the existing turf. Is Eagle fungicide safe to apply in conjunction with overseeding, and if not, what should the time interval be between application and seed drop? Thanks.
    A
Howard Johnsons Eagle 0.39% Specialty Fungicide should not harm seedlings or prevent seeds from germinating when used as directed.  It is recommended to eliminate any disease issues before reseeding so that the new grass is not infected.
