If I am applying Monterey Turflon Ester Herbicide to my lawn to kill kikuyu grass, will this also help stop this weed from spreading to my lawn from my neighbors yard?

Answer:

No, Monterey Turflon Ester Herbicide is only a post emergent that kills actively growing weeds, it will not prevent new weeds from germinating.  To prevent kikuyugrass from germinating, we recommend treating the lawn with Dimension 2EW at the rate of 0.28 - 0.73 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. Please review the product label for more information.
