If SpeedZone Lawn Weed Killer gets within the drip line of a fruit tree, how long must I wait to harvest the fruit?

I had someone spray my yard. He sprayed around the fruit trees and stayed out of the drip zone however when he rinsed out his sprayer, water runoff flowed towards one of my fruit trees. The runoff did not get within drip zone or under the canopy but close. I plan on throwing the fruit this year away but will I be able to harvest the fruit next year.

Answer:

We would recommend contacting the manufacturer directly for the affects of any runoff or overspray to fruits or vegetables after applying SpeedZone Lawn Weed Killer Concentrate. The product label does not mention a time frame if accidental applications occur until fruit/vegetables can be harvested. In general, we recommend applications stay atleast 15ft away from edibles and outside the dripline or canopy.   Per the product label, do not allow spray to drift onto vegetables, flowers, ornamental plants, shrubs, trees and other desirable plants since injury may result.
