InVade Bio Drain is a gel that contains natural microbes to break down organic buildup in wet areas like drains. It is usually used to treat areas where drain flies will breed, and while sanitation is an important part of roach control, this is not something we would recommend for treating for roaches. We suggest our Roach Control Kits here which contain a roach bait gel, insect growth regulator (IGR), and residual spray to treat for this pest. Please also take a few moments to review our online Roach Treatment Guide for more tips.

Yes, you can use the InVade Bio Drain in any drain including one containing a garbage disposal. We also carry the InVade Hot Spot which foams in the drain and will also be very effective for drains with disposals.
It is not recommended to apply InVade Bio Drain on wood floors. It is designed to break up organic matter in the plumbing areas. You could apply a crack and crevice application to the areas where you have insect acitivity located. We recommend that you have the pest properly identified to be sure that the drain flies are coming through the wood floors.
InVade Bio Drain will eliminate the organic matter in drains so it will be a portion of the treatment program in commercial or residential areas. The main goal with fruit flies is to find the breeding site. In restaurants, fruit flies almost always breed from the syrup and other food and drink that falls behind the bar areas and where the soda machines and soda guns are or where there is produce and such in a residential area. We carry traps to catch the adult flies that are flying around, such as natural catch plus fruit fly traps and Greenway Fruit Fly Traps. As far as the source and breeding sites, you should wash all of the areas underneath the bar and soda areas to clean any syrup or other sticky areas and places where food could have failed behind or under machines/appliances etc. You can also use a short acting spray such as Microcare for a quick knockdown of the nuisance adults that are present at the time you spray.
InVade Bio Drain cannot be used on carpeting. Instead, you can use InVade Bio Zap for pet stains on carpet.
Yes, InVade Bio Drain can be used in restaurants. There are no restrictions on use sites.
InVade Bio Drain Gel can be applied in the basement floor drain. It contains natural microbes, citrus oil, a gelling agent, and an emulsifier. The microbes consist of bacillus bacteria that eat away naturally at the organic scum buildup in drains and on floors and other areas with frequent food and water contact. Citrus oil aids in cleaning and also leaves a fresh scent after InVade Bio Drain is used. The remaining ingredients thicken and stabilize the liquid, helping it to coat drains and other treatment surfaces.
You will usually see drain flies developing in a toilet only if the toilet is not used very often. InVade Bio Drain probably won't be the best product to use in your situation. You can turn the water off to the toilet and flush it so that the bowl and the tank are empty. Thoroughly scrub both, paying special attention to the area under the lip of the bowl and the tank. Scrubbing and cleaning these areas will help eliminate the decaying organic matter that these flies need to breed and develop. While the toilet is drained you can apply Invade Hot Shot Foam to the tank and the bowl and let it sit overnight to clean all of the cracks and crevices that you may not be able to clean properly. Invade Hot Shot would be a good choice because it will expand to cover all of the surfaces you need to treat. This may need to be repeated a few times before you get rid of all of the gunk that can build up over time. All drains in the infested room should be treated with either Invade Hot Shot or with Drain Gel.
Yes, Invade Bio Drain Gel is safe for use around pregnant women. It is used directly in the drains and made from microbes and citrus oil. Be sure the follow the label with regards to how often this product can be used.
