    Q
Does InVict AB Insect Paste target Argentine ants?
    A
No, InVict AB Insect Paste is not labeled for argentine ant control. We would recommend using our Complete Ant Kit. The Complete Ant Kit is designed for use in and around the home to treat most common household ants. Because it includes both sweet and protein baits, the Complete Ant Kit takes the guesswork out of which bait is needed. The included bait plate stations allow easy placement and monitoring of both baits. Baiting is an excellent choice for indoor treatment, especially, because baits have extremely low toxicity to people and pets and can be applied discreetly. Baits are often more effective than residual sprays since ants carry them back to the colony for complete population control.

    Q
How effective is InVict AB Insect Paste on Silverfish? Is there an additional attractant needed with this?
We have young children and wish to avoid spraying insecticide, so we are looking for spot treatments!
    A

InVict AB Insect Paste can be used for silverfish treatments indoors and already contains an “attractant” bait matrix. No additional lure or food product should be mixed or used when placing bait placement.

Bait should be applied in small green pea size amounts (0.5 grams) in areas of activity. Apply 5 to 10 spots per location in area where silverfish are seen such as bookcases, stacks of papers, magazines, folders, behind or along edges of peeling wallpaper and in cracks around light fixtures, ceiling fans, etc between living areas and attics. Reinspect the areas after 2 to 4 weeks and replace any consumed bait placements.

For additional control of silverfish, ants, roaches, stinkbugs, spiders and many other common household insects, we would recommend using a residual insecticide such as Bifen IT for outdoor applications atleast for preventative measures. Bifen IT can be used indoors if you choose as it is water based, dries clear, doesn’t stain and leaves no odor behind. Applied at the rate of 0.5 to 1 fl oz per gallon of water will provide a 30 day residual outdoors and 90 day residual indoors.

Bifen IT is safe for kids and pets when applied per the product label. You will keep kids and pets out of the area while spraying and until the application has completely dried.

Keep in mind that these pests frequent humid areas such as bathrooms and stored paper goods like files and wallpaper, so non-chemical steps to correct those conditions will help eliminate this pest.
