Is Bonide Over the Top Grass Beater Beater safe to use on Zeon zoysia lawn to control bermuda invasion?

Bermuda grass has invaded and is beginning to take over an established lawn of Zeon zoysia in the Atlanta area. Can I use Bonide Grass Beater to "knock out" the Bermuda? Can this be done when the zoysia is still dormant or after it has completely greened up. Is there a temperature max for application?

Answer:

No, Bonide Grass Beater Over-The-Top Grass Killer Concentrate states on the product label DO NOT apply to zoysiagrass.  A better option would be something like the Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide which is labeled to control bermudagrass in zoysia as directed on the product label.
