George from Barrington, Illinois writes

Is 'Bora-Care' suitable to use on wolmanized or cedar tone-treated lumber?

I have an existing deck constructed originally with a combination of 'Cedartone' or 'Wolmanized' preservative-treated lumber. Due to not being originally sealed (18 years ago, previous owner), the deterioration requires us to replace the decking and some of the perimeter lumber. Should I be treating both sides of the decking boards ('Cedartone')? Thanks for the information. George

Answer:

Pressure-treated wood is not necessary to treat with Bora-Care as it is already resistant to pests, mold, water damage, etc. However, in this case, because it has been 18 years & was not originally sealed, then yes Bora-Care can be applied.
