I am servicing an aquarium system that has tubing that is inaccessible due to the construction of the system. They are complaining of persistent low pH in the water, and I suspect bacterial growth in the tubing is affecting the water quality. Is drain gel safe and appropriate to use in this context, or is there another product that can be used?
We have contacted the manufacturer and they said that they do not recommend using their drain gel in aquariums and they advised that you seek advise from a professional that deals in aquariums to find what they would use in this situation. We apologize that we could not offer more help in this situation.
