I found activities in two monitoring stations today, one completely eaten, the other half gone. I replaced them with baits and moved one of them closer to where I think the termites are, and also added a new station with bait directly. Is this ok to do, or did I disrupt termites in this way? Also, when are termites most active, in spring?
You should not move a bait station after termite activity has been disturbed. This will disrupt the termites and will stop them from feeding and can stop them from returning to the colony. Termites are active year-round but you will see the most activity during the rainy season.
