Is it possible to treat an apartment for bedbugs without accidentally transferring the insects to my home?

One person said his girl adult brought them in. His brother lives there, too, in a different building. My boss wants me to go in and spray for them, and I am ready to quit rather than go in and spray. What should I do?

Answer:

Pest control operators successfully treat bedbug infested properties without transferring the insects to other properties or to their own homes every day. Just remember not to bring in anything that you will be required to set down on the floor or furniture. You can cover your clothes with a disposable Tyvek coverall that can be removed and discarded at the property and check your shoes for any hitch hiking insects.
