I am fixing my dads house - which had quite a bit of flooring/joist damage - and needed the subfloor replaced in some areas. Before installing the plywood subfloor i was wanting to go ahead and spread the Niban to treat the crawl space for roaches, ants, etc. while the underneath is exposed. The potential problem is someone later may have to go under to do electrical/plumbing or HVAC. Would it be safe for them to work under the house after apllication.
While Niban Granular Bait can be applied in a crawl space, we recommend applying when you are no longer expecting anyone to come in contact with that area. If applied before, it's possible that disturbing the treated areas could cause the inhalation of the product if this is a small space. Please read the product label and Safety Data Sheet for complete application instructions and warnings.
