There is a chart on page 6 of the product label for Sevin SL Carbaryl Insecticide that clarifies. You would use the rate of 1.5 - 3 oz per 1,000 sq ft for Green June Beetle larvae or for the adults of scarab beetles such as June beetles, May beetles, and Japanese beetles. For white grubs (such as Japanese beetle larvae), you should use the higher rate of 6 oz per 1,000 sq ft. Keep in mind that this product must be applied when the larvae are feeding near the surface.
