Is it safe to use STUF-FIT Copper Mesh around a heater pipe and wires (for my water main)?

Hi, there is an area in my den where the water main comes in to. There is also the pipe in this space running into the baseboard (which obviously gets hot). Can I use copper mesh in there or will it get too hot if it’s on the pipe and ultimately burn or cause anything in this space to burn (Sheetrock, etc)? Thanks
