Janet from Santa Fe, Tx writes

Is Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer safe to use on fire ant mounds in a yard where chickens forage?

I see there's an answer but it's pretty useless. Of course you can use it if the chickens 'aren't present.' I need to hear from someone who has used it around chickens who ARE present in the yard.

Answer:

No, Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer should not be used around chickens.  Per the manufacturer it is highly toxic to all birds and should only be used in areas that are not accessible to chickens at all.
