Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) is not a granular insecticide and must be mixed wiith water and applied using a handpump or backpack sprayer using a sufficient amount of water to evenly and thoroughly distribute the recommended mix rate per the product label per 1000 sq ft area. Once the application has dried, it is safe for pets to re enter the treated area. Pre-emergents need to be applied when soil temps reach 55 to 65 degrees. For the most accurate timing of when to apply pre-emegents in your area, view our Lawn Care Schedule or contact your Cooperative Extension Office for their recommendations.
