Is Prodiamine safe to use around southern live oak trees (quercus virginiana)?

Answer:

While Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) is safe for most trees, quercus virginiana is not listed as a tolerable species. It does mention many other oak species. Please be sure to check the label for a full list. We would suggest applying outside the drip line of the tree to ensure proper root growth.
