Is SedgeHammer Herbicide safe to use to spot treat yellow nutsedge in hayfields that will be harvested in 1-2 months (late September/October)? Does this also kill the seeds and is this safe for grazing cattle that eat the hay?

Answer:

No, SedgeHammer Herbicide cannot be used in hayfields or pastures where there are grazing animals. Unfortunately, there are not any nutsedge control products that we are aware of that can be used in a pastures, hayfields or grazing areas.
