Marilyn from Columbus, Ohio writes

Is Sucker Punch safe to use on Cleveland pear tress for sprouts and sucker growths?

Per my question above, this product is listed as a herbicide. An arborist said not to use herbicides on these tress (his example was roundup etc).

Answer:

Sucker Punch Ready To Use will not harm pear trees when applied per the product label. Sucker Punch Ready To Use is meant to prevent and inhibit vegetative growth in woody plants. Herbicides like Roundup, if sprayed directly or around the the roots could hurt/damage a tree.
