Talstar XTRA Granular Insecticide could not be used in areas where animals may consume the turfgrass as this is not labeled for grazing areas.  Permethrin SFR 36.8% would be a better option for treating the lawn and surrounding areas for fleas along with tank mixing NyGuard IGR to help stop the reproduction cycle. These products can be used in and around livestock premises and where ducks, chickens and pigs would roam. Mix Permethrin SFR at 0.4 to 0.8 fl oz per 4 gallons of water along with 4 ml to 8 ml per gallon of water per 1000 sq f.
