Is Tempo SC Ultra effective at killing powderpost beetles?

I have powderpost beetles in some of the beams that support the hay loft in my old barn. Would Tempo SC Ultra be a good choice in treating them?

Answer:

Tempo SC Ultra is labeled for powderpost beetles. It is recommended that you apply the product at a rate of 16 ml per gallon of water. This can be reapplied every 7-10 days as needed. Another option would be to use Boracare. This product will last for the life of the wood The rate is 1:1. This should only be used on raw wood.
