Is Termidor safe to apply to a tree with carpenter ants? Is this harmful to the tree?

Answer:

Yes, Termidor SC can be applied at the rate of 0.8fl oz per gallon of water to trees, wood fences, decking, landscape timbers, and other similar wood-to-soil contact materials. If possible, locate and treat the interior-infested cavity by injection.

Please refer to the Termites or Carpenter Ants in Trees or Nonstructural Wood or Wood-to-soil Contacts Section on page 13 of the product label for more information.
