My wife is concerned that when we sit on it we will take the product into the house furniture. Is there a better product for this?
The products in the spider control kit are not labeled for use on furniture. You do not want to apply these products where you might come in contact with it. You can most certainly apply them to cracks and crevices and around the furniture.
